Clay has memory. Water, a language.
In the hands of artist and environmental scientist SB, these materials find voice, expressing stillness, sanctuary, and the quiet intelligence of the natural world.
Each piece is shaped entirely by hand, rooted in the rhythms of flora native to SB’s corner of Northern California.
Purpose is woven into every curve: to cradle warmth, to hold water, and to offer sanctuary.
Beneath it all is a reverence for hidden connections—subtle movements beneath the surface that shape the whole.
Stilblūm: Earthdream Given Form
Water, Reimagined
At Stilblūm, every drop of water is part of a closed-loop cycle: harvested from the foggy Bay air, reused again and again, and returned to the system with care.

One of a kind.
Hand-thrown in speckled buff stoneware, this sculptural vase draws its quiet strength from contrast: between glaze and clay, softness and edge, movement and stillness. Its form is precise yet gentle, rising in a clean, outward line before turning inward at the shoulder into a softened rim.
Inside, white glaze reveals the speckled body of the clay like vanilla beans in ice cream. Outside, a flowing lavender glaze moves across the upper half of the form in a spectrum of lilac and pale violet. From rim to shoulder, the glaze gathers and drips in places, forming a tactile, undulating boundary where it ends.
Beneath this shoulder, the raw clay is left exposed; its sandy hue and subtle black speckles creating an earthy balance to the cool lavender above. This division becomes a horizon line between elements: air and stone, color and form, gloss and grain.
Simple and striking, this vessel holds space for stillness and bloom, whether filled with native stems or left empty as sculpture.
New works shaped by SB's hands, carrying the essence of earth, water, and fire.
One of a kind.
Formed by hand and glazed in deep green-blue that shimmers like still water beneath forest shade, this porcelain lamp base is shaped to both emit and refract light. Its surface is carved in flowing, rounded facets, like softened honeycomb or the quiet pattern of scales in a river current.
The base is asymmetrical and softly sculpted, rounded low and tapering with grace. Three gentle indentations along its curve give it a held, almost breathing shape. Finished with Stilblūm’s signature Deep Grove glaze, the piece shifts with light, revealing depth and texture as day turns.
Topped with a vintage Tiffany-style glass shade, curated by Stilblūm, the lamp becomes a complete composition. Soft pinks, greens, mauves, and yellow glass form a pattern of tulip blooms and leaves, glowing gently when lit, and harmonizing beautifully with the cool depth of the glaze below. The proportions follow the golden rules of balance: grounded, lifted, and quietly luminous.
Fully wired for standard U.S. outlets. Includes one vintage-style Edison bulb.
